Wemmershoek

The Cape Leopard Trust, an NGO that facilitates protection of the endangered Cape Mountain Leopard, has put up motion detection cameras in the Wemmershoek Mountains behind La Motte. In August, the cameras spotted the two leopards, BM4 and BF1, that Leopard’s Leap adopted last year.

Leopard’s Leap is a proud sponsor of the Cape Leopard Trust, which aims to optimally facilitate conservation of the Cape’s predator diversity through simultaneously implementing conservation strategies, research projects and tourism initiatives.

The camera also spotted various other mammals, including genets, baboons, mongoose and African wild cat.6a01156f911114970c014e8b51b8d8970d-800wi
