I am very pleased to announce that La Motte’s Pierneef Shiraz Viognier 2007 won gold at the 2009 Decanter world wine awards with five others of our wines picking up medals. The judges described the Pierneef Shiraz Viognier 2007 as “Restrained, elegant, attractive nose with raspberry and apricot fruit. The palate is very young and a little raw showing lots of oak and a lovely core of fruit. Needs 18 months. Very long.”
