The volcanic ash cloud over Europe prevented the majority of South African publishers and authors from traveling to London for the 2010 London Book Fair which was focusing on South African literature. A few South African authors and publishers were in London ahead of the Icelandic volcano eruption and flew the flag high for South Africa at the fair. Leopard’s Leap Wines, a long time supporter of literature in South Africa, was also present at the fair as the official wine sponsor of the South African market focus. Above is a picture of one of South Africa’s most successful authors Deon Meyer at one of the receptions where Leopard’s Leap wines were served.
