This was one of my best food and wine experiences of my life: dinner at the restaurant of legendary chef Paul Bocuse in Lyon, France. Paul Bocuse is famous for his innovative approaches to cuisine and the high quality of his restaurants. He is one of the most prominent chefs associated with the nouvelle cuisine.
I had a six-course meal and wine pairing with my colleagues from La Motte and Leopard’s Leap. The restaurant, food, wine and service were all fantastic. But the highlight of the evening was when Chef Bocuse came over to our table. Joining me in the photo above with Chef Bocuse is Leopard’s Leap winemaker Eugene van Zyl.
