I was very happy to see that the 2007 La Motte Cabernet Sauvignon was chosen by Christian Eedes as one of the wines that stood out for him during a recent blind wine tasting by Wine magazine. Christian was the chairman of the tasting panel.
He described the wine as follows:
“Hint of mint as well as cassis on the nose. The palate shows good fruit expression, well-judged oak and fresh acidity. Grapes from Walker Bay, Paarl, Darling, Stellenbosch and Wellington, each supposedly making a different contribution to the overall flavour profile.”
Christian scored the wine 17 out of 20.
