On our travels we have fell in love with the concept of regional food. And when we started conceptualising a restaurant on La Motte Wine Estate, there was no doubt that the cuisine should be based on the traditional local food of the Cape Winelands. We started on a very exciting journey– researching where our food came from originally and how it developed through the years.
And as a part of the Plaisirs de France celebrations, Friday night’s French-inspired 6-course fine-dining banquet, with one of France’s celebrated Chefs, Florent Boivin, was such a highlight for us! It celebrated the strong French heritage of our cuisine combined with true South African quality ingredients.
