Another year has come and gone! It goes so quick that it is only when we reflect that we realised that we did indeed have 365 days in 2014!
Herewith some of the blog highlights of the past year.
Of course wine is always a passion and we had a look at the quality of South African white blends, Champagne and its counterparts, I visited Italy and shared the story of the Super Tuscans, enjoyed New Zealand’s Pinot Noirs and revisited the important question of terroir.
We also had a look at wine marketing and how wine is sold – being customer-focused and having an online presence seemed to be most important.
Always interested in what is happening in tourism and travel, we discussed South Africa’s latest tourism figures, different types of tourism, Tourism in South Africa after 20 years of democracy as well as how tourism supports foreign investment in the Cape Winelands.
China is of course always on the agenda: This year we talked about the different drinking cultures in South African and China as well as food and wine matching in China, the different face of Social Media in China and I shared an interview with CNN Africa on South African wine made for China.
I hope you enjoyed the year with me visiting the world of wine, business and travel and I look forward to an exciting journey through 2015 – wishing you a blessed and wonderful New Year!
